Numbered glossy porcelain sculpture of a gondola with young bride and groom enjoying a walk and gondolier in typical striped t-shirt and straw hat attire.

In the 19th century, wealthy young people would spend their honeymoons travelling through Old Europe. Italy was a destination full of classic art and romance. In ref.01350 Lladró portrays one of these couples, dressed in the fashion of their time, enjoying a ride in a Venetian gondola. Locating him firmly in Venice, Italy, the gondolier appears in the traditional striped shirt and straw hat. A piece so complex, with several characters, details in the scene, engravings and porcelain flowers, it makes for one of the best gifts for a wedding. Numbered recSeries

A splendid, large-format and complex piece, both fantastic and realistic: the reindeer are modelled and sculpted like real animals, and they seem to leap and run over the clouds. Highlights include the minutest of details such as the antlers of the reindeer or their legs, the skates of the sled, the small toys, or even the small leather pompom on Santa Claus' hat. His facial expression is happy and smiling. Worth noting is the decoration of the sides of the sleigh, where the mistletoe motifs on a dark brown and green background have been reflected with red beads.
