Lladro retirements on 31 December 2004

On 31 December 2004, a group of our creations will be withdrawn from the Lladró catalogue to make way for new sculptures. However, for a certain period of time, all these works can still be found in some Lladró authorized stores.

Exhibition of sketches at Valencia Lladro Center

From 16th September until 2nd October, the Lladró Centre in Valencia will host an exhibition of drawings and clay sketches which inspired some of Lladró’s most emblematic creations.

This fascinating exhibition will be rounded off with a live modelling demonstration by the Lladró sculptor Alfredo Llorens, scheduled for Saturday 25th September from 5pm to 9pm.

Exhibition opening hours: Monday to Saturday, 10:00am to 2:00pm & 4:00pm to 8:00pm.

Lladro collaborates in the fight against cancer.

Lladró will donate part of the profits derived from the sales in October of the Admiratio sculpture and of the home fragrances candle Flowers of peace to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, dedicated to research into breast cancer.

The month of October is set aside in the United States to the fight against this illness. To mark the occasion, many American companies personalize their products with the pink color used to symbolize this cause.

The Pulse of Africa is the first Lladró collection dedicated exclusively to African themes.It comprises five gres pieces inspired by the simple forms of carved wood sculptures, masks and tribal paintings.The Pulse of Africa pays tribute to the purity of forms and the expressive and abstract values of African art. The sculpture African Man represents a zebu shepherd while African Woman depicts the typical seller of handmade crafts. In turn, Zebu, Marabou and Oryx are animals which are highly prized in Africa.The dark tones of the decoration and original ornamentation of all the pieces in a wide range of chromatic nuances thanks to the combination of glazes, enhance the ethnic nature of the collection

Meeting in Barcelona...

We enjoy a lot your visit in our shop in Barcelona. We love to meet you in our shop in Barcelona, yesterday one of our on-line customers visit us in our main shop in Barcelona, it's really nice to meet people who have been in contact with us for a long time on-line, we are like friends. Our good friend come with her wife and gave her in our shop a really nice Lladro figurine as a gift for her birthday, that's really nice, even we took some photos. Congratulations!
