Made in glazed porcelain, this lovable Santa Claus asks us to keep his secret as he goes about his task of delivering the gifts in his heavy sack. Noteworthy for its wealth of details, the white curls of his thick beard, the deep red of his costume, combined with the burgundy and brown of the belt and buttons, or the teddy bear sticking out of the sack. A piece, which only Lladró artists are capable of sculpting and reproducing by hand in porcelain, with utmost precision and wealth of detail.

Worth underscoring is the painstaking ornamentation of the whole sculpture, from the clothing to the throne or the staffs she is holding in her hand. Equally of note is the profuse decoration using notes of glazed and matte gold, combined with a mix of coppery and pearly colors and metallic blue and green effects that give the piece a sense of majesty. Here, Cleopatra appears as the great queen she was, enhanced by the neme, the characteristic striped blue and gold headcloth worn by the pharaohs. A spectacular sculpture made in black porcelain, inspired by the legendary gladiators of the Roman empire.

"This creation represents with amazing faithfulness and detail the figure of a gladiator. Warriors who defended their lives fighting against other gladiators or against wild beasts to entertainment the public in the Roman arena. This sculpture speaks of men who defended their life with honor and fortitude, despite the circumstances they had to endure. Made in black porcelain, it is decorated with copper, dark grey and black enamels with metallic effects, combined with the aged silver luster in the armor. The shield is decorated with black luster with marble effect and the helmet is also decorated with aged silver luster. The sword, which almost looks like real metal, is porcelain. In addition, the piece comes with a removable metal mask covering the gladiator’s face which is held in place by an ingenious system of magnets. A truly unique work, striking for both its size and for the sculptural treatment."
