Doodle Mickey arrives as a limited edition of 300 units that brings together technique, design and a playful, modern approach.

Its development required nearly 500 hours of technical work and more than 100 hours dedicated exclusively to ornamentation, a process that enhances every detail.

Mickey Mouse, one of the most recognizable characters in animation and a cultural icon since 1928, inspires this porcelain interpretation that reimagines his silhouette through the language of freehand drawing.

The character is crafted in white glazed porcelain, decorated with a black doodle pattern, a spontaneous line reminiscent of clever, light-hearted sketching.

The decoration is completed with subtle touches of platinum luster applied to the buttons, nose and gloves, adding highlights and an elegant contrast to the white surface.

The creation is presented on a wooden base, which complements its sculptural presence in this large-format edition.

Mickey Total Black affords an unexpected vision of one of the most significant characters in popular culture. Mickey Mouse, the world’s most famous mouse, was the first and best known of the many creations in the Disney universe. Ever since, he has become a pop icon, one of the most recognizable and best-loved figures by the public.

In this version, Mickey is faithfully depicted but with a bold aesthetic treatment. It plays with the effects produced by the combination of the matte black color of the head, trousers, and faceted base with the glazed finish of the ears and body. The note of color comes in the delicate white porcelain flower, modeled by hand, petal by petal, on Mickey’s chest. This little detail makes Mickey even more charming and adds a touch of humor and sophistication.

A porcelain sculpture portraying a contemporary vision of Minnie Mouse, one of the Disney factory’s best-loved characters.

This creation offers a contemporary vision of Minnie, Mickey Mouse’s sweetheart. The point of departure for the creative approach is animated cartoon techniques based on black ink drawing on a white ground. So, black is the only color used in the decoration of Minnie, together with a few touches of golden luster applied in the ribbon in her hair, her shoes and the tip of her nose. The end result is an unmistakable and charming Minnie who has swapped her usual red dress for a white dress with black polka dots rendered with utmost care and precision. The base is faceted black porcelain.

On November 18th, Mickey Mouse will celebrate his 90th birthday.

This date coincides with the anniversary of the first movie of the 

popular Disney character, Steamboat Willie, in 1928.

Today, Mickey is one of the most emblematic and wellknown

charactes in popular culture. To celebrate his birthday, Lladro

has prepared a campaign that should help promote the porcelain

version of Mickey and Minnie, as well as the rest of the characters

that Lladro has portrayed in the Disney universe.
