"This creation represents with amazing faithfulness and detail the figure of a gladiator. Warriors who defended their lives fighting against other gladiators or against wild beasts to entertainment the public in the Roman arena. This sculpture speaks of men who defended their life with honor and fortitude, despite the circumstances they had to endure. Made in black porcelain, it is decorated with copper, dark grey and black enamels with metallic effects, combined with the aged silver luster in the armor. The shield is decorated with black luster with marble effect and the helmet is also decorated with aged silver luster. The sword, which almost looks like real metal, is porcelain. In addition, the piece comes with a removable metal mask covering the gladiator’s face which is held in place by an ingenious system of magnets. Limited edition, gloss finish porcelain sculpture of St. George on horseback as victor over the dragon, in green, blue and white hues.

Saint George is the prototype of the medieval knight and one of the most venerated saints of Europe. Artists of the Lladró High Porcelain workshop have created this spectacular interpretation of his legendary adventure with the dragon in a limited edition which stands out for its dynamism and the technical virtuosity of its execution. The scene shows the hero fighting with a fierce creature in order to free the king´s daughter, who was to be sacrificed to satisfy the demands of the monster. In the decoration of the piece, the richness of enamels stands out, with roughly twenty different tones applied to the dragon and the depth of textures accentuating the modelling and providing it with volume. In contrast, the knight displays more gentle treatment, softened by his light skin and Apollonian features. This contrast is reinforced by the white horse, a symbol of the nobility, bravery and loyalty necessary to defeat evil.
