The dragon is one of the most powerful symbols in Eastern imagination. Associated with wisdom, good fortune, and protection, it adopts a new identity in this creation through a renewed aesthetic that blends tradition, design, and craftsmanship.

Inspired by the Japanese art of paper folding, this dragon is composed of faceted volumes that transform the classic lines of origami into a sculpture with strong visual energy. Its angular forms, dynamic posture, and the tension in its silhouette evoke power and movement.

The golden finish enhances the sculptural energy of the piece. To achieve this effect, we use natural mineral pigments coated with a fine layer of metallic oxide, intensifying the surface reflections while maintaining the purity of the color. The result is a striking creation with deep symbolic and decorative value.

A symbol of power and prosperity in Eastern culture, this magical creature, the bearer of good luck, is the protagonist in this spectacular High Porcelain limited edition. The hundreds of scales covering its skin are individually hand painted in different shades of blue, which gives it a special shine and which is an extremely laborious technique requiring the expertise of the finest artists. The luminosity distinguishing its spectacular embellishment is attained by combining gloss and satin finishes. The complexity of the dragon´s shape and the great number of small details make the process of its creation extremely difficult, from the modelling of the original sculpture through to its final firing in the kiln.

A symbol of strength, protection and good luck, this legendary being, existing in ancient oriental cultures, wards off evil spirits, protects the innocent and provides safety to all those who possess it. This special edition stands out for its striking decoration, with a special mention for the golden luster combined with details in blue and red enamels. The hundreds of scales covering the dragon’s skin are minutely hand-painted one by one. Saint George is the prototype of the medieval knight and one of the most venerated saints of Europe. Artists of the Lladró High Porcelain workshop have created this spectacular interpretation of his legendary adventure with the dragon in a limited edition which stands out for its dynamism and the technical virtuosity of its execution. The scene shows the hero fighting with a fierce creature in order to free the king´s daughter, who was to be sacrificed to satisfy the demands of the monster. In the decoration of the piece, the richness of enamels stands out, with roughly twenty different tones applied to the dragon and the depth of textures accentuating the modelling and providing it with volume. In contrast, the knight displays more gentle treatment, softened by his light skin and Apollonian features. This contrast is reinforced by the white horse, a symbol of the nobility, bravery and loyalty necessary to defeat evil.

Porcelain creation inspired by the Dragon, one of the 12 signs in the Chinese zodiac.

Baby Dragon is the opening piece in the Baby Animals collection, a version of the 12 animals in the Chinese zodiac created from a more naïve, tender-hearted, and endearing perspective. Worth underscoring in this interpretation of the only mythological animal in the Chinese zodiac is the sculptural and ornamental work, which recreates the morphology and scales of the dragon’s skin with high precision. White was chosen for the whole decoration, with the sole exception of the eyes which are painted a deep black color in order to heighten the expressiveness. Another interesting feature is that the piece alternates areas of glazed and matte scales, an effect achieved by eliminating the glaze with a small soft sponge. This application of a very gestural technique with tiny strokes means that each Baby Dragon creation has a special unique finish. In China, people born under the sign of the Dragon (1976, 1988, 2000, 2012, 2024) are called dragon babies and are believed to be imaginative, kind, vital and energetic.

The Chinese Zodiac collection of home fragrances is now expanded with this Dragon perfume diffuser. The animal ruling over 2024, the dragon symbolizes power, energy, honor and good fortune. According to tradition, the Year of the Dragon is believed to be a year of transformation, growth and abundance. This diffuser comprises a glass holder and a white porcelain lid with a detailed etching of a dragon in glazed and matte finishes. The glass holder contains 100 ml of perfume with the Redwood Fire scent, a fragrance with notes of violet, mimosa, sandalwood and cedar, and five 20 cm long black diffuser reeds.
