Sculpture of the mythical Hindu character Rama made in matte porcelain and golden luster.
Rama and his wife Sita are the main characters in a legendary love story that forms part of Ramayana, one of the great epics of ancient India. In this creation, Rama is portrayed in matte white porcelain which enhances the sculptural value of the piece. The minutely detailed ornamentation etched on the porcelain recreates the wealth of his clothing, the folds of the fabrics, the pendants, bracelets and helmet.
