Everyday scenes recreated in Lladró figurines reveal a complex world of stories full of emotions and feelings.

Lladro 01008418 DRESSAGE

Issue Year: 2008
Sculptor: José Luis Santes
Size: 33x38 cm

A very elegant piece combining a lady and a horse. She is dressed in the usual classic attire for riders at competition: high black boots, long dark frock coat, riding breeches, top hat and white gloves. The saddle is placed on a grey pad to protect the animal’s back. The horse does not intend to portrait a specific breed, it can be any warm blood. But it appears beautifully well groomed for the exhibition. The mane is artistically braided for the equestrian event. Classic porcelain with the traditional colors of Lladro, with intense dark blues for the attire and brown for the horse.

Lladro 05819 ALLEGORY OF LIBERTY

Size: 25 1/2x12"
Tamaño: 64x30 cm
Base included
Year 1991
Open Edition
Glazed Porcelain

Freedom has been traditionally depicted in the guise of a woman. "Allegory of Liberty" a piece from 1991 also uses the female figure to express that universal value. Lladró artists have resolved this suggestive theme in a composition where the canons of classical sculpture meet a romantic, sweet and evocative aesthetic.
"Allegory of Liberty" is a balanced and dynamic piece and its highly symbolic character is a direct reminder of the great human values and principles translated into visual forms in the creations by Lladró.

Lladro 09264 RABBIT

Issue Year: 2016
Sculptor: Marco Antonio Noguerón
Size: 12x13 cm

It is said that there is not just one single reality because our imagination is able to transform it at will. And that is exactly what the Lladró artists have done in the Origami collection, which name is inspired by the abstraction of the Japanese art of folding paper. The animal kingdom, a subject matter in which the brand has always deployed its full creative potential, is interpreted here with a geometric focus removed from any realist vision, offering us a faceted image with manifold sides. Pieces in the perfect size to be combined in any contemporary interiors.

A melancholic harlequin continues in the same line as the famous figurine Sad Harlequin, for decades the best illustration of the pronounced stylization of the pieces that marked the Lladró style back in the 60s. In the creation of this new figurine, the Lladró artists took their inspiration from Picasso¿s famous painting Arlequín pensativo from his blue period. It belongs to the Lladro Utopia Collection.
